Wild Thyme Café & Market is your local stop for fresh, flavorful bites in the heart of Pasco County’s first neighborhood farm. From breakfast and coffee to shareables and fine wines, our menu brings farm-to-table goodness to every meal.

MetroLagoons is seeking a Cafe Server for an exciting and unique opportunity at the Wild Thyme Café at the Angeline Welcome Center in Land O’ Lakes, Florida.

Wild Thyme Cafe is an intimate neighborhood setting within the Welcome Center at Angeline. Our guests include residents, realtors, and other visitors to the area.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Cafe Server will be responsible for providing exceptional service for our residents and guests, including making and serving drinks, running food items, and clearing tables at our Welcome Center. They will also act as MOD and provide leadership coverage as needed, in partnership with the café’ General Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and promote positive guest experience
  • Prepare and serve both non-alcohol and alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guests
  • Interact with customers, take orders, and serve food and drinks
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Serve beverages such as canned beer, wine, sangria, smoothies, tea, lemonade, and coffee drinks
  • Check IDs to ensure appropriate customers meet legal drinking age
  • Monitor guest consumption of alcohol, following all company and state guidelines
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations
  • Provide leadership coverage as needed
  • Open and/or close cafe as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar facility (preferred)
  • Food/beverage safety certification (will train and provide as needed)
  • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
  • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Leadership experience a plus
  • Proven experience in performing light maintenance tasks, preferably in a similar setting
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors occasionally
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
