Overview
The Café Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient operations, and high-quality food and beverage offerings. This position supervises front-of-house café team members, maintains operational standards, supports inventory and cash handling procedures, and fosters a positive team environment. The Café Food & Beverage Supervisor works closely with management to deliver an outstanding guest experience while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and company standards.
This role pays an hourly rate of $26.00 - $32.00.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring efficient and effective service.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate café team members, including cashiers, baristas, food service attendants, and support staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations.
  • Assist with scheduling, training, onboarding, and performance coaching of café staff.
  • Oversee opening, closing, and shift change procedures.
  • Monitor labor costs and staffing levels to meet business demands.
  • Perform cash handling functions, including register reconciliation and deposits as assigned.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels by monitoring product usage and communicating ordering needs.
  • Ensure the café is clean, organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing throughout each shift.
  • Support the preparation and execution of catering orders or special events as needed.
  • Collaborate with culinary and management teams to improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Complete daily operational reports and communicate shift updates to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of food and beverage or café experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
  • Experience in high-volume food service, café, coffee shop, or quick-service restaurant operations preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Food Handler Certification required (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
  • Food Protection Manager certification preferred.
  • Alcohol service certification, if required by state or venue.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent guest interaction.
