The Wanderers Club is a casual, multi-generational private golf and country club in the heart of the equestrian community of Wellington, Florida. The Club's full array of amenities and services are centered around families, sports and the equestrian lifestyle found only in Wellington. We serve a vibrant community of over 500 member families in areas ranging from golf, racquet, and swimming to childcare, events, and dining.
OVERVIEW
The Pool & Café Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional service to members and guests at our poolside Café. This role is ideal requires a blend of customer service, casual food service, barista skills, and simple food preparation. Previous service experience is essential.
Requirements
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet each member and guest upon arrival, using their names whenever possible, and build rapport with member families.
• Take and accurately input food and beverage orders into the point of sale system (Jonas) and ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with other departments (Golf, Racquets, Food & Beverage, Kid's Club, Housekeeping) to address the needs of members and guests.
• Brew drip coffee for the Café, staff break room, and restaurant; ensure it is replenished as needed.
• Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks (e.g., lattes, cappuccinos) using our automated machine.
• Create and serve smoothies and juices with fresh ingredients.
• Heat and serve pre-made food items, including breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and empanadas.
• Process credit card and house account payments efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar and service area.
• Assist with the organization and service of pool areas as time permits.
• Greet and serve guests at the pool when available.
• Provide coverage at the Locker Room desk when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience in a customer service or food service role.
• Familiarity with point of sale systems (experience with Jonas is a plus).
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
