KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A Café Manager supports Tatte’s mission to inspire, care for, and nurture life every day by contributing to the café management team in welcoming guests, supporting team members, and executing café operations to Tatte standards. Café Managers are leaders within the café who help oversee daily operations while developing their leadership skills and supporting an exceptional guest experience.

Café Managers work side by side with team members throughout shifts, leading and inspiring teams to exceed guest expectations through authentic hospitality, operational excellence, and strong execution of Tatte’s service and product standards.

We are looking for leaders who are passionate about hospitality, thrive in fast paced café environments, and enjoy developing team members while supporting strong daily operations.

We expect our Café Managers to:

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Model authentic and engaging hospitality while coaching overall guest experience standards
  • Support execution of Tatte operational standards regarding service, product knowledge, safety, and sanitation
  • Lead team members through shifts by overseeing deployment, floor leadership, and operational execution
  • Provide clear, timely, and constructive feedback to team members throughout shifts
  • Ensure beverage, bakery, and savory products meet recipe and visual standards
  • Communicate product quality concerns to the appropriate teams
  • Support difficult conversations with team members and guests professionally and respectfully
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members using company training programs
  • Support food safety standards and maintain strong product and allergen knowledge
  • Follow café administrative procedures including cash handling, ordering, receiving, time clock verification, and sanitation audits
  • Other related assignments as necessary

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work 10+ hour shifts and stand, sit, squat, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Consistent and punctual attendance
  • Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor during high volume periods

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Minimum 6 months of supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of café operations and team deployment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Previous experience with UltiPro, Toast POS, CrunchTime, and TeamworX preferred
  • ServSafe, Allergen, and ChokeSaver certifications preferred
