Assistant Manager – Café Operations

La Madeleine | Mt. Juliet, TN

We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on Assistant Manager to join our leadership team at our Mt. Juliet café.

This is a great opportunity for someone with restaurant or hospitality experience who enjoys being on the floor, leading a team, taking care of guests, and helping create a well-organized operation.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day-to-day café operations and help set the pace for the team
  • Provide a high level of hospitality and guest service
  • Coach, train, and develop team members

  • Help manage breaks, staffing, shift deployment, and labor
  • Monitor product levels, prep needs, waste, and operational issues
  • Support cash handling and daily management procedures
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and find solutions quickly
  • Help maintain service standards including table resets, pre-bussing, beverage refills, dining-room cleanliness, and overall guest experience
  • Jump into any position when needed—from supporting the register and dining room to expo and back-of-house operations
  • Communicate clearly with the management team about staffing, product shortages, maintenance issues, guest feedback, and other operational needs

Who We’re Looking For

We want someone who:

  • Has restaurant, café, retail, or hospitality leadership experience
  • Leads by example and isn’t afraid to work alongside the team
  • Is dependable, organized, and accountable
  • Communicates well with both employees and guests
  • Can remain calm and make decisions during busy periods
  • Understands that great hospitality comes from attention to the small details
  • Enjoys coaching employees and building a strong team culture
  • Is comfortable learning new systems and helping implement new operating standards
  • Wants an opportunity to grow into greater management responsibility

What Success Looks Like

Our goal is to create a café where the operation is organized, the team knows exactly what is expected, and guests feel genuinely taken care of.

We’re actively improving our service systems, training, shift organization, and overall guest experience. The right Assistant Manager will play an important role in helping us put those systems into practice and making them part of the café’s everyday culture.

If you’re a hands-on hospitality leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and creating a great guest experience, we’d like to meet you.

Apply today and tell us a little about your restaurant or hospitality leadership experience.
