Description

The Primary Therapist is responsible for managing client caseloads. This includes weekly one on one sessions, bio/psycho/social assessments, and treatment planning, maintaining contact with client's family members and leading group facilitation. The Primary Therapist maintains a safe and efficient working and treatment environment, and communicates effectively with the treatment team to ensure safe, quality care is provided to all clients per company policies, procedures, and best practices.


Core Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop individualized treatment plans that address clients' unique needs, goals, and challenges.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to clients, utilizing various modalities. 
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions
  • Engage in family therapy sessions to address family dynamics, educate on addiction, promote healthy communication, and support the recovery process.
  • Collaborate with the clinical, medical and operational team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Document client progress, treatment interventions, and any significant observations in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Assess and manage crises or emergencies that may arise, applying appropriate intervention strategies to ensure client safety.
  • Participate in treatment planning meetings: Actively contribute to treatment team meetings, providing clinical insights, progress updates, and recommendations for the ongoing care of clients.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and training to enhance clinical skills and maintain licensure and certifications.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education - Master's level preferred or (related experience in substance abuse field.)
  • Certifications - LPC/MHSP, LADC, LMFT, CADC, LADAC
  • Knowledge of alcohol and chemical dependency treatment, rehabilitation programs, and dual diagnosis experience.
