Job description

Job Title: Licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)

First Resources is seeking the right candidate to fill the full-time licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) position in the Ottumwa area.

Responsibilities:

As a CADC at First Resources, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive substance abuse treatment to your assigned caseload. Your day-to-day activities will include conducting assessments, leading individual counseling sessions, and facilitating group therapy. You will work closely with your supervisor to ensure the quality of service implementation and maintain a designated number of billable units.

Weekly staff meetings will be an integral part of your schedule, where you will collaborate with colleagues and may also serve on partnering committees. Building and maintaining positive relationships with community stakeholders is essential, as you will interact ethically and professionally in all your engagements.

You will develop and continuously assess individualized treatment plans for each client, ensuring these plans remain dynamic and responsive to their needs. Daily documentation will be entered into the Electronic Health Record (EHR), and you will prepare ASAMS appropriate for each level of care within established time limits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Services, or a related field from an accredited four-year college preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of substance abuse-related experience.
