Job description

This is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Hobbs, NM. 

Looking for local candidate. No company housing or vehicle provided. 

Job Summary: Responsible for analyzing and managing customer product needs and obtaining orders for Surface Wellhead equipment/systems while ensuring a financial balance between utilizing new and customer-owned equipment—coordinating successful product releases within established standards and priorities.

Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

  • Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations.
  • Promptly enter sales orders in Syteline.
  • Use independent judgment in managing the utilization and inventory control of customers’ property to ensure that we are supporting the best financial outcome for the customer
  • Perform same-day source planning on hook up and/or additional customer requirements, reducing customers’ financial impact.
  • Ensure the accuracy of open sales orders (commercial and technical), published customer discounts or net pricing, and that orders do not Maintain obsolete or invalid part numbers and customer requirements.
  • Verify that quotes submitted by Corporate Sales are technically accurate
  • Prepare daily reports and monitor dates according to actual customer requirements using the most recent information available.
  • Establish strategic relationships with new and existing customers. Provide management reports on sales activity, sales forecasts, and other quantifiable sales objective measurements.
  • Seek and identify substitutions for quoted equipment, not on hand/inventory. Utilize excess or slow-moving inventory within standard operating procedures.
  • Communicate changes and/or cancellations to customer requirements and delivery issues to the supply chain and Supervisor to ensure that the customer specifications and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain rig board to allow visibility of current customer requirements by active rig, equipment type, state of preparedness, and expected ship date.
  • Proactively pursue compensation for expediting costs incurred through sales before manufacturing or shipping.
  • Ensure and secure adequate and proper backup parts and equipment on service jobs and communicate accurate information to the Service Department
  • Provide input and assistance to other functional areas to improve processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep abreast of new products, specifications, industry trends, competitor strengths, and weaknesses.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or four to six years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
