Job description

AVTEC - Systems Integrator, Division of Cache Valley Electric - is an independent integrator of enterprise industrial / commercial security solutions. We have built a strong reputation for system engineering, implementation and service for over 40 years. AVTEC provides customized electronic access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection expertise to premier organizations in the Western US, with specialties in Utility, Transportation, government, healthcare, commercial campuses, as well as education vertical markets.
The Account Manager is generally responsible for estimating, quote generation and project management of assigned Accounts. In addition, the Account Manager is responsible for project reporting, ensuring quality installations, as well as customer satisfaction.
Project / Account Manager:
  • 5 years sales and / or Project Management Experience
  • 5 years hands on technical experience working with Video Surveillance Systems and /or Access Control Systems
  • Certifications from major access control and CCTV manufactures
  • Knowledge in basic use of test equipment (i.e. multi-meter, field cable tester, OTDR etc.)
  • Knowledge of network wiring, structured cabling and computers
  • A proven track record of attention to detail
  • Good organization skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as be a team player
  • Willingness to travel to perform duties
  • Microsoft, CISCO and BICSI certifications a plus
  • Related diploma/degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced use of test equipment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in network cabling, and local computer networking
  • Ability to read blueprints, architectural, mechanical and electrical documents
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed, independently and as a team player
  • Successful Track record of working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage all aspects of both large and small security integration projects
  • Ability to manage and direct the activities of technicians assigned to you and the projects you are managing
  • Valid driver's license, with good driving record.

Certificates & Licenses:
• Limited Energy Electrician Certificate (desired but not required)
• 10 year Criminal Background Check / Drug Screen - qualification required.
• Valid Driver's License
Supervisory Duties:
• Supervises installation technicians and contractors.
• Interfaces with Project Managers, Engineering Manager, Designers and Applications Engineers.
Requirements
Education, Experience & Abilities:
• Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree in technical capacity. Minimum of 5 years experience in the servicing and installation of electronic security systems with a strong knowledge of security concepts and security service. Good subcontracting and people management skills required.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
• Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Design Software such as AutoCAD etc.
• Networking, Computer / Server Management skills preferred.
