Experienced and versatile Java enterprise software engineer with proven experience in delivering robust technical solutions within a results oriented environment. Comfortable working on multiple deliverables often with tight deadlines.

This role will primarily be as a Java developer to support the Structured Products (or Asset Backed Finance) Technology group in client Securities.

Specifically to analyze, implement, and maintain software solutions to support pricing, risk, and P\L calculations for the ABF Front Office.

This role will serve as a technical resource in finding software solutions for customers.

Conduct research and resolve problems in relation to processes, and recommend solutions and process improvements.

Analyze user needs, determine requirements.

Provide technical support, advice, and consultation with the issues relating to supported applications.

Create and maintain process documentation for programs.

Create test data, conduct interfaces and unit tests.

Assures quality, security and compliance for supported systems and applications.

Conduct clients/user training as required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

5+ years of Java experience

1+ year of Cache experience

1+ year of Grid computing experience

5+ years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools

5+ years of application development and implementation experience

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of capital markets: front office technology and systems

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications

5+ years experience with Java in an n-tier environment

5+ years experience within the complete software development lifecycle comfortable with code control, build and deployment, testing and support.

Results oriented with the proven ability to deliver high quality, robust solutions within a small timeframe

Demonstrates excellent communication skills and comfortable dealing with traders, middle office, operations and risk organizations

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar

Experience with distributed cache and compute grid products, such as Oracle Coherence and DataSynapse

Experience with basic structured products - Mortgage Backed Securities, Asset Backed Finance

Experience with broad array of capital markets products including any of cash, derivatives, equities, foreign exchange, commodities, etc.
