IT Systems Support Specialistย

Job Summary:ย 

The IT Systemsย Supportย Specialistย is responsible forย providing day-to-day technical support andย maintainingย the organizationโ€™s technology infrastructure across multiple sites. This role supports both Level 1 and Level 2 IT functions, including user support, workstation setup, networking, systems troubleshooting, and technology administration.ย 

In addition, this role supports low-voltage and infrastructure-related technology systems, including security cameras, wireless access points, access control systems, cabling, audio/visual equipment, and related building technologies. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can independently troubleshoot technical issues while providing exceptional customer service to staff and organizational partners.ย 

Essential Functions:ย 

IT Support & Systems Administrationย 

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for staff across multiple locations.ย ย 

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, email, and connectivity issues.ย ย 

  • Configure, deploy, andย maintainย desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.ย ย 

  • Assist with Microsoft 365 administration including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint support.ย ย 

  • Set up and deactivate employee accounts, permissions, and equipment during onboarding and offboarding.ย ย 

  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment, software licenses, and technology assets.ย ย 

  • Documentย supportย requests, resolutions, and technical procedures.ย ย 

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, managed service providers, and internet providers as needed.ย ย 

Network & Infrastructure Supportย 

  • Assistย withย maintainingย wired and wireless network infrastructure across office, housing, and event locations.ย ย 

  • Troubleshoot internet connectivity, routers, switches, access points, and related systems.ย ย 

  • Support cybersecurity best practices including endpoint protection, password security, and system updates.ย ย 

  • Assistย with system backups, equipment updates, and technology maintenance schedules.ย ย 

Low Voltage & Technology Systemsย 

  • Install,ย terminate, and troubleshoot Cat5/Cat6 cabling and low voltage systems.ย ย 

  • Support installation and maintenance of security cameras, access control systems, and related infrastructure.ย ย 

  • Assistย with conference room technology, projectors, displays, smart TVs, and audio/visual systems.ย ย 

  • Organize andย maintainย network racks, cable management systems, and technology closets.ย ย 

  • Support technology needs for organizational events, meetings, and community programming.ย ย 

Operational Supportย 

  • Travel between organizational sites as needed to provide technical support.ย ย 

  • Maintain organized records of equipment, warranties, and maintenance schedules.ย ย 

  • Assistย with identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology solutions.ย ย 

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety procedures, and technology standards.ย ย 

  • Other duties as assigned.ย ย 

Education:ย 

  • High School Diploma or GEDย required.ย ย 

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent work experience preferred.ย ย 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Training, and Experience:ย 

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on IT support experienceย required.ย ย 

  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 environments.ย ย 

  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, switches, and routers.ย ย 

  • Experience with low voltage cabling, security camera systems, or access control systems preferred.ย ย 

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues independently.ย ย 

  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.ย ย 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and requests.ย ย 

  • Experience working with ticketing systems, inventory tracking, and technical documentation preferred.ย ย 

  • Proficiencyย in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.ย ย 

  • Strong workย ethicย and initiative; desire to work in an entrepreneurial, team-based environment.ย ย 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and community partners.ย ย 

  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportationย required.
  • Supporting CFI's off-site technical needs.ย
