Cable Harness Assembler : Orlando, FL

Max Payrate:  $21.00 per hour

Job Description :

Cable Harness Assembler - build cable/harness to wiring diagram, form boards, soldering, crimping, plugging contacts into connectors, torquing backshells while working to Class 3 IPC standards.

Written instructions given by mechanical engineering but also need to read from drawing schematics.

  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
  • Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Desired Skills:

  • 1-3 years of Manufacturing Assembly Experience Completed WHMA-A-620 training or a current WHMA-A-620 Certification with demonstrated Class 3 workmanship

  • Level- I: Entry-level Cable Harness Assembler (1–3 years)
  • Level- II : Experienced Cable Harness Assembler (3+ years, defense preferred)

  • Level- IV : Advanced Electromechanical/Rack Assembly (2+ years, more complex systems)
