Job description

About the Role:

T&J Communications is hiring a 2-man drop bury crews for consistent, daily underground cable work in the San Antonio metro area. This is steady, full-schedule work: 6 days a week, every week. Not a gig. Not seasonal. Ongoing production work with reliable volume.

What You'll Earn

  • $22.00 per drop (per tech, 8-10 drops/day)
  • $2.25/ft driveway bore pay
  • $4.25/ft sidewalk bore pay
  • $0.70/mile fuel reimbursement on top of job pay
  • Realistic weekly take-home: $1,800–$2,400+ depending on bore footage
  • Paid semi-monthly (1st and 15th) via direct deposit

Schedule

  • Monday through Saturday (6 days/week)
  • Start early, finish when drops are done
  • 2 days paid training before your first day in the field

What You Need

  • Underground cable/drop bury experience (telecom, CATV, fiber, or utility)
  • Ability to operate a ditch witch or directional bore machine
  • Valid driver's license with clean record
  • Basic hand tools (shovel, rake, tamper, measuring wheel)
  • One crew member must have a truck/SUV capable of towing a utility trailer (ditch witch + materials). If you have a tow vehicle, call that out in your application.

What We Provide

  • Utility trailer, ditch witch, bore equipment
  • All cable, materials, and consumables
  • Consistent daily volume (no waiting around for dispatch)
  • $0.70/mile fuel reimbursement

Why This Gig

  • Steady daily work, not one-off tickets
  • No cap on earnings (more footage = more money)
  • Equipment provided (you don't need your own bore machine)
  • 2-man crew, not solo (safer, faster, better)
  • Starting immediately

How to Apply
