Job description

Job Title: Construction Specialist III
Job at a Glance:
  • This role will be completing construction quality audits in the field 80% of the time with the additional 20% being remote PC work. ?
  • Wide range of inspections on nodes, amplifiers, power supplies, fiber taps, enclosures etc. but not limited to.?
  • Some jobs could be 3-4 hours away - in these cases a hotel stay will be booked by the client. ?
  • You will use your personal vehicle.
  • Mileage is reimbursed at the federal rate.
Location: 7900 Northeast Lombard Street Portland Oregon 97218
Pay Rate: $40/hr W2 + optional benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k)
Duration of Contract: Long term contract with extension/conversion possibility
Responsibilities:
  • Ensures the execution of overhead/underground construction duties such as: placing hard-line Connectivity & Platforms, frame and strand poles, transfer facilities between poles, place Connectivity & Platforms in joint trench, and safe operation of construction vehicles and Connectivity & Platforms trailers.
  • Investigates and monitors accurate record keeping concerning project start, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.
  • Instructs work site safety standards; conducts work site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and participates in regular safety meetings with the crew.
Required Skills:
  • Both Coax and Fiber cabling experience are required to pursue this role
  • Project management and networking skills are a plus
