This role focuses on creating cable assemblies, wiring interfaces, and system-level electrical interconnections that meet strict performance, safety, and quality requirements. The engineer works closely with systems, test, and hardware teams to interpret specifications, define connectivity needs, and translate requirements into manufacturable designs. This position also involves documentation development, peer review participation, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and reliable cable system integration. This is a permanent role on the team, being hired on a long-term contract or contract-to-hire basis.

  • Communicate design intent clearly to designers and drafters to support accurate drawing creation.

Technical Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work with systems and test engineers to determine cable needs for platforms, subsystems, and test environments.
  • Support development of system documentation, including interface control documents, wiring diagrams, configuration specifications, and related materials.
  • Participate in internal and customer-facing design reviews to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide mentoring, technical guidance, and support to junior staff or cross-functional team members.

Quality, Planning & Execution
