Job Description
This role focuses on high-volume cabinet installation across multiple multifamily apartment complexes in the Grand Rapids and Holland area. You will work on projects ranging from small 15-unit buildings to large 250-unit communities, delivering consistent, high-quality cabinet installations in a production-focused environment. The position emphasizes efficiency, accuracy, and craftsmanship while completing 3โ5 units per day.
Responsibilities
- Install cabinets in multifamily apartment units across various sites in the Grand Rapids and Holland area.
- Complete cabinet installations in a production environment, typically finishing 3โ5 units per day while maintaining quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate cabinet layout and installation.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to measure, cut, fit, and secure cabinets.
- Perform finish and trim carpentry work to ensure cabinets are properly aligned, leveled, and securely fastened.
- Coordinate cabinet installation work within active construction sites, working alongside other trades as needed.
- Inspect completed installations to confirm proper fit, finish, and functionality, making adjustments as required.
- Follow construction site safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with general labor tasks related to cabinet installation, fabrication, and framing as needed to support project completion.
- Communicate progress and any issues encountered on-site to the appropriate contact to keep projects on schedule.
Essential Skills
- 2โ3 years of hands-on experience performing cabinet installations, preferably in multifamily or similar environments.
- Proficiency in cabinet installation techniques, including measuring, leveling, anchoring, and finishing.
- Experience with finish and trim carpentry, ensuring high-quality fit and finish of installed cabinets.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings related to cabinet layout and installation.
- Skilled in the safe use of hand tools and power tools commonly used in cabinetry and construction.
- Experience in carpentry and construction, including familiarity with framing and general labor tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality workmanship in a production setting.
- Ability to work efficiently to meet daily unit completion goals while maintaining safety and quality.

- Experience working on multifamily apartment complexes or large residential projects.
- Knowledge of basic fabrication techniques related to cabinetry and trim work.
- Comfort working as part of a construction team and coordinating tasks with other trades.

- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
