Job Description

The reach truck operator is responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in operating a reach truck and other machinery. This also includes the loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, and other generalized roles working in all departments.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated area. May operate a forklift, reach truck, or other machinery to complete tasks.
  • Receives, counts and records shipment data into the system. Matches packing list information to actual merchandise. Prepares packages/merchandise for storage
  • Identify incorrect/short/over/damaged items and immediately notify supervisor.
  • Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
  • Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
  • Receive and fill orders, materials, and products to installers and subcontractors.
  • May perform receiving, stocking, replenishing, picking, shipping tasks, and other duties as assigned
