Job description

Overview
It is the responsibility of the Cabana Host to assist the Senior Cabana Host and drive cabana and pool rental sales out at the pool. The Cabana Host will act as the host to our entire rental product and be required to continuously check in with guests throughout the day to ensure satisfaction and assist with requests as needed. Additionally, Cabana Hosts will act as greeters at our entrance podium/kiosk for all pool guests, escort guests upon arrival to the location of the rental and provide an orientation to the guest's cabana, and pool amenities. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Responsibilities
  • Attend pre-shift meetings.
  • Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
  • Responsible for welcoming all pool guests at the front entrance of the pool and ensuring room keys are presented and no glass is entering the pool area.
  • Responsible for welcoming guest to the pool as well as escorting guests to cabanas and daybeds.
  • Assist Senior Cabana Host and Pool management with reservations and special events.
  • Responsible for gathering relative information for future telemarketing efforts.
  • Responsible for interacting and ensuring guests are having a great experience.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain good and proper relationships with hotel visitors and market the Golden Nugget Pool and other venues to all guests.
  • Must be social and have an outgoing personality while maintaining relationships within the department, as well as around the city.
  • Must have ability to communicate via email as well as over the phone.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
  • Obtain a Health Card and Alcohol Awareness Card.
  • High School Diploma or GED (or actively seeking).
  • Minimum age requirement is 18.
  • A minimum of 1 years of customer service experience within the Hospitality field (or comparable guest service experience).
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
