Description
Construction Surveillance Technician (CST)

This position requires an Active Top Secret/SCI

Shift: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 0700-1500
 

Responsibilities

The Construction Surveillance Technician will be responsible for monitoring uncleared workers during designated phases of construction within secure areas. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor uncleared personnel working in or around Controlled Access Areas (CAA).
  • Perform X-ray screening and inspections of materials, equipment, and furnishings designated for use within the CAA.
  • Assist with the random selection and inspection of construction materials and items being installed within or near the CAA.
  • Read and analyze designs, blueprints, and construction plans to identify the architect's intended use.
  • Apply knowledge of construction disciplines, including Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic Engineering.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of industrial or government security practices involving counterintelligence.
  • Apply knowledge of technical security countermeasures, construction quality assurance, and construction security surveillance.
  • Identify potential security risks related to construction principles, surveillance devices, and methods used for clandestine surveillance.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow security procedures and maintain professionalism in a controlled environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, walk flights of stairs, and move quickly when needed.
  • Must be able to respond appropriately in emergency situations, including demonstrating the ability to defend themselves or others if required.
