Job description

CNC Tool Grinder

A family-owned company, Dynomax designs, manufactures, and develops high-precision machined components, injection molding and tooling, sub-assemblies, automated work cells, specialty machines, and machine tool spindles since 1986. We are seeking an experienced CNC Tool Grinder to join our manufacturing team.

CNC Tool Grinder Job Responsibilities:

The CNC Tool Grinder will Program, Set Up, and Operate a CNC Rollomatic Cylindrical Grinding Machine to produce tight tolerance injection mold tooling.

  • Study blueprints or specifications and use GD&T to plan sequences of operations for the manufacturing of tools, specifically core pins for injection mold tooling
  • Perform machining operations and set-up on CNC Rollomatic Cylindrical Grinding Machine
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, smoothness and clearances of finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, indicators and microscopes
  • Support other Tooling functions, including tool maintenance, tool assembly, and machining
  • Work with tool designers to give them technical support as well as coordinate outside repairs and changes

CNC Tool Grinder Job Requirements:

  • 1+ year of CNC Tool Grinding experience
  • 1+ year of CNC Programming experience
  • Ability to work within tolerances of +/-.0002
  • Ability to work from drawings, verbal instructions, and specifications to produce precision parts
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment including a microscope
  • Cylindrical grinding experience preferred
  • Experience working with M2 Tool Steel preferred
