Work Schedule: Fulltime, On-site Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA; routine travel to <20%, CONUS/OCONUS


Role Overview:Β 

The Senior Systems Engineer serves as the lead technical authority for designing, maintaining, and modernizing the Command and Control (C2) training networks supporting the Marine Operational Command and Control Training Team (MOCTT) and the Marine Corps Information Systems Training Centers (MISTCs). This position provides enterprise-wide engineering oversight across all MISTC locations and the MOCTT COC in Quantico, ensuring that every design, configuration, and integration activity aligns with MCEN standards, DoD cybersecurity requirements, and TECOM training objectives.Β 


The Senior Systems Engineer manages the engineering team at MISTC HQ and is responsible for the design, documentation, and sustainment of high-performance, secure, and repeatable network architectures for classrooms, COCs, labs, and virtualized training environments. This role ensures seamless support to C2 systems training during POI execution, BSTEX events, and technical exchanges. The Senior Systems Engineer also oversees collaborative tool integration and user-support functions for SharePoint, MS Teams, and Microsoft 365 environments used across the MOCTT-MISTC enterprise.Β

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldΒ 
  • DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification required within 60 days (Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, etc.)Β
