Job description

We are looking for a SR Contract Specialist person to support our government customer in Frederick, MD. We are seeking a highly motivated person to support Army Contract and financial matters. Salary Range: $125K-135K/annum • Experience involving Government contracting, negotiating, awarding and administering various contract types with no supervision required; Perform "cradle-to-grave" acquisition functions (i.e., from pre-award to post-award, to the final contract termination/close-out). • Review procurement requests to ensure compliance with procedures and regulations and sufficiency of technical specifications or purchase description and supporting information
• Develop solicitation documents and other contractual documentation amendments, supporting memoranda
• Reviews bids or proposals related procurement actions and assists during the evaluation process and/or recommends to Contract Officers the most advantageous awardee per the process stated in the solicitation
• Responsible for completion of procurement activities related to all aspects of the procurement life cycle and performs all related contract administration duties including taking a leadership role in conducting price analyses and leading evaluation teams
• Advises in the development of solicitations sections such as the statements of work (SOW), terms and conditions, and other requirements for basic procurements
• Develops pre-negotiation position, determines the contract type, and prepares required justification
• Reviews purchase orders and contracts for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with agency policies and procedure
• Gathers, compiles, and tabulates bids and offers; evaluates price submissions, and compares to specifications in the solicitation
• Experience executing more complex contract actions such as REAs (Request for Equitable Adjustments), Terminations, Claims/disputes etc. • Prepares and maintains acquisition plans, milestone charts, and related schedules
• Continually evaluates existing process and procedures to provide regular improvement recommendations or updates to maintain compliance in government regulations Required Skills and Experience • TS/SCI Clearance
• Microsoft Suite - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience working within the field of DoD Government contracting
• Bachelors Degree in Business or Certifications like Contracting DAWIA/FAC-C Level III Required Clearance • Active TS/SCI Clearance required C2 is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
