Job description

ELECTRON BEAM WELDER (DRAGON) - 2ND SHIFT

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate CNC-controlled electron-beam (EB) welding machines including part set-up
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate weld schedules
  • Upkeep general machine maintenance and test
  • Utilize EB welding on several types of metal including titanium, stainless steel, copper, C103, and inconel

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of experience with TIG welding or a certificate of completion from an accredited program

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience in electron beam welding
  • Experience with high and low voltage machine
  • Experience with both manual and robotic welding applications
  • Experience with TIG welding
  • Knowledge of AWS D17.1

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to work 2nd shift 3:30pm - 2:00am, able to work overtime hours and weekends as needed
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods - 8 hours min.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:    
Pay range:    
Electron Beam Welder/Level 1: $23.00 - $27.00/hour    
Electron Beam Welder/Level 2: $26.00 - $32.50/hour    
Electron Beam Welder/Level 3: $31.00 - $38.00/hour    

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
