Job Description

Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Locations: Kansas City, MO | Hybrid

MO, TX, GA, and FL | Remote

About The Role:

We're hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to own major components of our delivery platform and cloud infrastructure. You'll lead the design and optimization of the systems behind our CI/CD, deployment automation, and production reliability, and you'll mentor the engineers around you. It's a role for someone who's equally comfortable debugging a distributed system, driving a platform roadmap, and setting standards the wider team works to.

What You Will GetDo:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD, infrastructure, and deployment automation.

  • Own high-impact components of the delivery platform end-to-end - scalability, reliability, security, and performance.

  • Build and evolve Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep) and drive consistent patterns across environments.

  • Design and operate CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab.

  • Run containerized workloads on Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability so teams have the signals they need to run their systems.

  • Partner with Security to embed DevSecOps controls throughout the SDLC.

  • Lead incident RCA and drive long-term reliability improvements - hardening failure domains and reducing toil.

  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and help set engineering standards.

WhatYou Will Bring:
  • 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Strong Infrastructure as Code skills (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or ARM).

  • Proven experience with modern CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab).

  • Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Confident scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

  • Solid Linux and Windows administration.

  • Experience running observability tooling (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Azure Monitor).

  • Comfortable supporting high-availability production environments.

Nice to have:
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP DevOps / Solutions Architect).

  • DevSecOps and security automation experience.

  • Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or FedRAMP.

  • Platform-engineering or self-service infrastructure experience.

  • Familiarity with AI and AI-integrated tooling.

How We Work:

You'll be joining a team that values ownership, thoughtful decision-making, and continuous improvement. We expect you to spot failure domains before they bite, prefer automation over toil, and share what you know so the whole team gets stronger. You'll balance delivery speed with long-term reliability, and lead by example on quality and cross-functional collaboration.

How We Measure Success:

Higher deployment frequency, lower change-failure rate, better system availability, faster incident resolution, stronger security and compliance posture, and more cost-efficient cloud operations.

Why You Will Love It Here!
  • Flexibility: Hybrid Work Model & a Business Casual Dress Code, including jeans

  • Your Future: 401k Matching Program, Professional Development Reimbursement

  • Work/Life Balance: Flexible Personal/Vacation Time Off, Sick Leave, Paid Holidays

  • Your Wellbeing: Medical, Dental, Vision, Employee Assistance Program, Parental Leave

  • Wide-Ranging Perspectives: Committed to Celebrating the Variety of Backgrounds, Talents, and Experiences of Our Employees

  • Training: Hands-On, Team-Customized, including SS&C University
