What are BxMO jobs?

BxMO typically refers to roles related to the Belgium, Luxembourg, and Monaco (Benelux + Monaco) region, especially in multinational companies operating across these countries. BxMO jobs can span various fields such as sales, marketing, finance, or management, with responsibilities often covering all three markets. These positions require an understanding of the local cultures, business practices, and, in many cases, proficiency in multiple languages. Candidates are usually expected to travel frequently within the region and adapt strategies to suit the specific needs of each country. BxMO roles are ideal for professionals seeking international experience within Western Europe.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a BXMO (Basic X-ray Machine Operator), and why are they important?

To thrive as a BXMO, you need a solid understanding of radiographic procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology, typically backed by completion of an accredited training program and state licensure or certification. Familiarity with digital imaging systems, X-ray equipment, and radiation safety protocols is essential for effective performance. Attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to reassure and instruct patients are valuable soft skills in this role. These skills ensure safe, accurate imaging and quality patient care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

What are the typical challenges faced by professionals working in the Benelux and Morocco (BxMo) region within multinational organizations?

Professionals covering the BxMo region often navigate complex regulatory environments and cultural differences across Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Morocco. Balancing diverse market needs, languages, and business practices requires adaptability and strong communication skills. Teams are usually cross-functional and may be distributed across multiple locations, so collaboration and effective virtual teamwork are essential. Additionally, staying updated on regional economic trends and compliance requirements is important for success.

Job description

Make an impact—front desk to triage

At AFC, our cross-trained Medical Assistants / BXMOs are the heartbeat of the clinic — blending patient care, imaging, insurance verification, and administrative support to keep our centers running smoothly. Whether you’re triaging a patient, taking an X-ray, or verifying insurance at registration, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring patients receive safe, accurate, and timely care.

If you thrive in a fast-paced urgent care setting, adapt quickly, and take pride in both accuracy and compassion, we want you here.

What you’ll do

  • Clinical Care: Greet and triage patients, collect vitals/histories, perform venipuncture and CLIA-waived point-of-care testing (COVID, flu, strep, glucose, A1C, UA, etc.), assist with minor procedures, wound care, EKGs, and nebulizer therapy.
  • X-Ray Imaging: Perform limited scope/basic X-ray exams (chest, extremities, spine) as licensed in Alabama or Florida. Prepare and position patients, operate imaging equipment safely, and ensure ALARA compliance. Maintain logs and QC checks.
  • Patient Registration & Insurance Verification: Register patients, verify eligibility, determine financial responsibility, collect co-pays, reconcile logs, and maintain EMR accuracy.
  • Patient Service: Educate patients on procedures and imaging, provide clear discharge instructions, and de-escalate concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Team & Compliance: Participate in daily huddles, maintain compliance logs (crash cart, fridge temps, dosimetry), support infection-control, HIPAA, and safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Active national MA certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent).
  • Active BLS certification required or must be obtained within defined onboarding period.
  • Alabama: Active Limited Scope X-Ray license required.
  • Florida: Active Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) license required.
  • At least 1+ year of MA experience with insurance verification and patient registration required.
  • Urgent care or ER experience highly valued.
  • Proficiency with EMR (Experity preferred) and payer portals (e.g., Waystar).
  • Proven venipuncture and specimen collection skills.

Additional requirements

  • Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to work evenings/weekends and float to nearby centers as needed.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive pay and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for CEUs, cross-training, and professional growth.
  • Collaborative, supportive, patient-first team culture.
  • Make an impact by delivering The Right Care. Right Now.

Work environment

Fast-paced urgent care with frequent role-switching; prolonged standing/walking; occasional lifting (25–30 lbs); routine exposure to blood, body fluids, and ionizing radiation (strict PPE and safety standards required).

American Family Care provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.

AFC is committed to pay equity and transparency. The expected pay range for this role is $27-30 per hour. Final compensation offers will be determined based on a combination of factors, including experience, certifications, education, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, AFC offers a competitive benefits package and advancement opportunities (varies by full-time/PRN/part-time status).
