About the Role: Join Dr. Ralph Rizk Orthopedic as an X-Ray Technician, where you will serve as the primary imaging specialist within our busy orthopedic surgery practice. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in producing high-quality diagnostic images and delivering a positive experience for every patient. A valid BXMO (Basic X-Ray Machine Operator) certificate is required — your imaging expertise is at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities:

Perform and process all in-office digital X-rays per physician orders using BXMO credentials

Ensure proper patient positioning to obtain optimal, diagnostic-quality images across all joint types and extremities, including hips, knees, shoulders, ankles, wrists, hands, elbows, feet, and long-leg standing views

Upload and accurately label images within the EMR/PACS system for prompt physician review

Verify physician orders and confirm correct laterality and study type prior to imaging

Follow all radiation safety and ALARA principles; maintain lead aprons and shielding equipment

Assist with post-operative hardware check imaging and stress views as ordered

Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant imaging room

Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and clinical staff to support a smooth patient flow

Track and document imaging logs and radiation records per state requirements

Assist with patient rooming and vitals as needed

Requirements:

Valid BXMO (Basic X-Ray Machine Operator) certificate — required

1+ year of experience performing X-rays in a clinical or office-based setting preferred

Orthopedic, sports medicine, or musculoskeletal imaging experience strongly preferred

Familiarity with digital radiography (DR) systems and PACS/EMR platforms

Comfortable assisting limited-mobility and post-surgical patients with positioning

Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

ARRT (R) certification or Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) background with imaging experience is a plus

Current CPR certification is a plus
