Manual Welder (SMAW, GTAW) - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, OH
We are currently hiring a qualified manual SMAW (stick) and GTAW (TIG) welder for our facility in Barberton, Ohio . The welder selected for this position will set up and perform extremely critical welds using stick, TIG, electric arc and heliarc welding processes to produce pressure and strength welds in all positions. Maintaining strict compliance to technical documentation and instructions is required. Control of welding parameters, interpass cleaning and preheating is required.
Our manual welders are some of the best at what they do. Opportunities to continue fine tuning your welding skills and to share with others in a team environment are key to how we operate.
Minimum Qualifications
Desired candidates will have a high school diploma or GED equivalency coupled with a minimum of two (2) years' demonstrated experience performing similar welding tasks. Lesser experience coupled with formal training and/or certification may be considered. Additionally:
  • All applicants must successfully complete a pre-employment weld screen
  • Must have the ability to read and understand manufacturing prints and weld data sheets
  • Must be a citizen of the United States
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
