Job Title: SAP BW Lead (Business Warehouse)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP BW Lead to manage and deliver Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing solutions using SAP Business Warehouse (BW 7.x) and SAP BusinessObjects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP BW architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes, along with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. The role involves driving end-to-end BI initiatives — from requirement gathering to delivery — while mentoring a team of developers.
 
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Architecture
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of SAP BW solutions across multiple business domains.
  • Architect scalable data warehouse models and ensure alignment with business and reporting needs.
  • Integrate data from SAP ECC modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, HR, PP) and non-SAP systems using BEx Extractors or custom data sources.
  • Design and manage InfoCubesDSOs (DataStore Objects)MultiProviders, and CompositeProviders.
  • Develop and maintain BEx Queries, ensuring optimized performance and usability for business users.
2. Development & Delivery
  • Manage ETL data flows, transformations, and data extraction processes using standard and custom extractors.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of data modelsInfoObjects, and DataSources.
  • Work with reporting tools such as SAP BEx AnalyzerBusinessObjects Web IntelligenceCrystal Reports, or Lumira.
  • Coordinate with functional and business teams to align reporting deliverables with KPIs and analytics goals.
3. Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead a team of SAP BW developers and analysts to deliver high-quality BI solutions.
  • Conduct code reviewsperformance tuning, and peer mentoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and plan project activities effectively.
4. System Administration & Performance
  • Manage transport requestsBW housekeeping, and system performance optimization.
  • Implement process chains and monitor data loads for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure data qualitysecurity, and authorization compliance across the BW landscape.
5. Project Management & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Act as a technical lead for BW-related projects — from design through go-live and post-support.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into technical solutions.
  • Support agile and iterative delivery models, maintaining high transparency on project progress.
 
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8–12 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW (version 7.x).
  • Expertise in:
