ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a detail-driven, collaborative professional with a passion for product development and merchandising? Silver Star Brands is looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our dynamic team! In this role, you'll work closely with our Corporate Category Buyer to shape our product assortment, drive supplier relationships, and help achieve our financial goals across designated product areas and brands.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate eager to grow into a buyer role within a supportive and creative environment.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

Product Development & Sourcing

  • Assist buyers in sourcing, cost negotiations, and new product development
  • Coordinate the ordering, testing, and receiving of product samples
  • Manage samples required for creative photography shoots
  • Maintain and organize supplier product catalog files

Data & Compliance Management

  • Send, collect, and process New Product Information sheets and all applicable compliance paperwork from suppliers, ensuring accuracy at every step
  • Maintain and update Assortment Plans and Product Detail information
  • Ensure supplier compliance with quality, packaging, labeling, and governmental standards
  • Review all copy details — including descriptions, style numbers, and pricing — following pagination

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams including Personalization, Customer Relations, Product Planning, E-Commerce, Creative Services, and our Distribution Center
  • Lead efforts to resolve quality issues and reduce returns in collaboration with the buyer and cross-functional teams

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience in buying, merchandising, or a related field is a plus
