Job description


We are looking for an experienced ROBOTIC MECHANIC to join our maintenance team in Lithia Springs, GA plant. This is a fulltime position Monday to Friday (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) with likelihood of overtime.

This position requires at least 2 years robotics experience and 3 years experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment. We offer competitive benefits and salary, plus up to $1.00/hr increase after 90 days. You will also work closely with all departments in the facility, including Production, Shipping, and more. You will work in a team environment with an opportunity to advance in your career with Custom Building Products. This position requires strong teamwork with both management and plant-floor personnel.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • You will work as a PLC/Robotics technician to handle all factory electrical, electronic and equipment controls with a focus towards safety, quality and production efficiency.
  • This position designs, modifies, troubleshoots and repairs production electronic components such as machine controls, robots, HMI’s, PLC’s, motors, drives, and communication equipment.
  • Troubleshooting all issues and performing mechanical technical tasks as assigned.
  • Ready and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

About You
We Require:

  • Minimum two years of Robotics experience.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Skilled in the use of multi-meters and other test equipment.
  • Must be proficient in the following platforms and standards: RS Linx, RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000, Factory Talk View, DeviceNet, EtherNet, Data Highway, Microsoft Windows.
  • Lock-Out Tag-Out standards, troubleshooting a 480v electrical connections.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
