Description
The Butter Plant Lead in the Print & Packaging department supports the Production Supervisor in ensuring the department operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. In the absence of the Production Supervisor, this role assumes direct supervisory responsibility for 35-50 employees within the Print & Packaging Department, carrying out leadership duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Comply and enforce all applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.
  • Assist with the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees.
  • Support supervision in the planning, assigning, and directing of work.
  • Contribute to the rewarding and disciplining of employees, as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Verify quality control items such as product weights, coding, packaging, etc.
  • Maintain proper documentation in all record keeping formats.
  • Provide and maintain a positive team work environment.
  • Backfill to other positions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Compensation
Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00/hour to $31.00/hour. Education, experience, and relevant qualifications may be taken into consideration.
