What you'll be doing: The Butter Supervisor is responsible for all phases of the butter operation at the West Springfield facility. The Butter Supervisor will assist the Master Scheduler to ensure work schedules are prepared in a manner to achieve production goals; Butter Supervisor will initiate/support/participate in continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on effectiveness and efficiencies. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team member and provide guidance to trainees and coworkers. Provide support in ensuring that an adequately trained workforce is maintained. All butter team employees will report to the Butter Supervisor. Work with Production Manager to ensure all products meet regulatory and customer specifications. Support for daily maintenance and laboratory functions in support of production and quality goals is expected. All duties will be performed with safety in mind as a priority. Additional hours over 40 are required, participation in weekend and holiday rotations may also be required. What we are seeking: College degree or experience in manufacturing, dairy manufacturing preferred. 3-5 years related experience and/or training. Solid knowledge of SQF, HAACP and GMPs. Minimum 3 years supervisor experience in a food manufacturing environment or combination of education and related work experience considered. Pay range for this position is $70,000-$85,000/yr. This range is an expected starting range but may be negotiable for candidates who demonstrate additional qualifications and experience.
