Position Overview

A formal private residence in Georgetown is seeking an experienced Butler/Driver to join a fully staffed household. The estate spans approximately 15,000 square feet and operates to the highest standards of service, discretion, and professionalism.

You will collaborate closely with a household team that includes another Butler, three Housekeepers and additional estate staff. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a formal private residence, understands traditional butler service, and takes pride in anticipating needs while maintaining impeccable standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide formal butler service for principals, family members, and guests
  • Greet and receive guests with professionalism and discretion
  • Serve meals, beverages, and refreshments according to formal service standards
  • Assist with entertaining, events, and special household functions
  • Coordinate with household staff to ensure seamless daily operations
  • Oversee the presentation and readiness of formal living spaces
  • Assist with household inventories and organization
  • Chauffeur principals and guests safely throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area
  • Maintain household vehicles, including fueling, detailing, and scheduling routine maintenance
