Located in Seattle, we offer a refined, high-energy experience centered around our Mishima Reserve Wagyu beef, alongside a raw bar, on-site butcher shop, vibrant bar, and world-class wine program. We're part of Sugar Mountain, a creative food company committed to quality, craftsmanship, and taking care of our people and our guests.
We're looking for a high-energy Assistant General Manager who leads from the floor, develops people, and drives a strong, service-focused culture.
This role partners closely with the General Manager to deliver an exceptional guest experience while driving sales, team performance, and operational consistency. You'll lead day-to-day execution, coach and develop the front-of-house team, and ensure our standards are consistently met.
What You'll Do
  • Lead from the floor as Manager-on-Duty, setting the tone for service and owning the guest experience each shift
  • Inspire a high-performing team by modeling great hospitality and holding a high bar
  • Coach and develop your FOH team in the moment recognizing wins and addressing gaps in real time
  • Run smooth, confident shifts from opening to closing with strong floor awareness and leadership
  • Manage labor and scheduling with an eye on both team experience and financial performance
  • Drive sales through deep product knowledge and genuine guest connection
  • Partner on a best-in-class beverage program, supporting inventory, ordering, and cost control
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and polished environment across every space
  • Step in to resolve guest issues quickly and thoughtfully
  • Keep the GM informed by sharing insights on performance, team dynamics, and areas for improvement
  • Bring Sugar Mountain's values to life in how you lead and show up every day

What You Bring
  • Experience leading in a high-volume and fine dining environment (2+ years as an AGM or similar)
  • A natural ability to connect with guests and confidently guide them through premium offerings (wine, Wagyu)
  • Comfort stepping into any FOH role and leading by example
  • Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including labor and cost management
  • Clear, confident communication. You build trust up, down, and across the team
  • Flexibility and reliability in a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine desire to grow, develop others, and be part of something great

Compensation & Benefits
The starting salary range for this position is between $80,000 - $95,000 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
We offer medical, dental, vision and life insurance premiums, along with 15 days paid time-off, 9 paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
Commitment to Our Communities:
