Business Solution Consultant

Department: Professional Services

Description

The Business Solution Consultant works with functional managers as well as senior management to clearly understand the requirements and objectives for the Abas implementation. This includes understanding their overall Production & Logistics requirements as well as their Financial Process & Reporting requirements. The Business Solution Consultant is responsible for consulting existing and new customers on how to best utilize Abas with the customers business operations, including sub-project management for a selected functional area.

Responsibilities
  • Expert for a functional area: Manufacturing (Make-To-Order, Make-To-Stock, Engineer-To-Order), Supply Chain (including post-calculation and valuation), BPM/Workflow, EDI, Finance/Controlling; or for a specific industry: e.g. Automotive
  • Analysis and consulting of business processes at customer site; functional management of the customer within the respective specialist area as part of the change process
  • Identification and active positioning of industry-specific best practices
  • Design of an integrated business process and ERP solution design, as close as possible to the Abas product standard; design of functional enhancements where necessary
  • Design and realization of configurations or minor adjustments in the Abas implementation phase
  • Ensuring integrity of developed customizations
  • Preparing the customer for go-live and supporting the go-live of the new processes and solutions
  • Working closely with the rest of the project team and reporting to the Project Manager
  • Processing of tenders and preparation of offers for the implementation of Abas ERP
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Operation Management, or Engineering preferred or relevant professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience as Business Solution Consultant or 5 years experience as ERP User in manufacturing
  • Understanding of manufacturing practices and methodologies
  • Willingness to travel (40%)
  • Strong communication skills, high customer orientation and a structured, solution-oriented way of working
