We're looking for a Business Risk Manager to sit within the first line of defense. You'll take an analytical approach to developing sustainable growth strategies that align with operational risk frameworks and take our risk management procedures to the next level.

What you'll be doing
  • Identifying, assessing, documenting, and reviewing risks
  • Designing, implementing, and testing controls and procedures
  • Creating and reviewing key risk indicators
  • Registering risk events, and managing and delivering risk incident reports
What you'll need
  • A degree from a top university
  • 2+ years of experience in operational risk management within financial services
  • Experience with risk identification and monitoring
  • Previous examples of practically interpreting and organising complex data
  • A solid track record of achievement, having won any competitive awards (academic, professional, and/or sport)
  • The ability to quickly assume responsibilities
  • An organized and methodological approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of control frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000) and risk taxonomy, including operational, financial, and compliance risks
  • Familiarity with process mapping, RCSA execution, control testing, and issue remediation
  • To be able to work from the office in New York 2-3 days per week (this is a hybrid role)
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of US regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with data analytics or visualization tools to support risk monitoring and reporting
  • Familiarity with automation and process optimization tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma) and their use in improving control effectiveness
  • A proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced environments, collaborating with multiple stakeholders across business and technical teams
Compensation range
  • New York: $108,000 - $127,000 gross annually*
  • Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process

*Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
