What You'll Do
  • Develop new commercial banking relationships through proactive business development and networking.
  • Structure, analyze, and manage commercial lending opportunities from application through closing.
  • Build profitable client relationships by delivering lending and deposit solutions.
  • Grow and maintain a high-quality loan portfolio while managing credit risk.
  • Partner with internal teams to identify opportunities across banking, private wealth management, treasury management, and other business lines.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, relationship profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Represent SmartBank in the communities we serve.

Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of commercial banking, lending, business development, or relationship management experience.
  • Proven success developing new business and managing client relationships.
  • Strong credit analysis and financial assessment skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and growing a high-quality commercial portfolio while maintaining strong credit quality, driving core deposit growth, expanding treasury management relationships, and generating referrals across banking and investment lines of business.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or related field.
  • RMA Credit Risk Certification.
  • Graduate School of Banking completion.
  • Commercial Lending School completion.
