Business Resilience Liaison:
Description
The Business Resilience team (within Enterprise Resilience/Corporate Security &Resilience) is seeking an experienced resilience liaison for a specific line of business within the organization.
The Business Resilience team provides subject matter expertise (SME) and associated business continuity planning (BCP) solutions to business divisions across the Citizens Bank enterprise.
In this role, you will have a solid understanding of business continuity planning and are a strong communicator, possessing the ability to quickly comprehend the business need, and translate those needs into requirements, identifying business continuity challenges and developing plans of action and strategies to meet the business recovery objectives.
You will have prior business continuity planning and possess the skill to "speak" both business and technical recovery language.
The role of liaison includes (but is not limited to):
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Operational Resilience program by managing a portfolio of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for a particular line of business.
  • Help to strengthen the organization's resilience framework to ensure Critical Business Services can withstand, adapt to, and recover from disruptions.
  • Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for business resilience, providing guidance across business units, with an understanding of business and technology resilience concepts, assuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
  • Facilitate impact tolerance setting, scenario testing, mapping of critical business services and processes, and supporting assets across key business units.
  • Complete Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) with in-business continuity coordinators and business units to ensure business criticality is documented accordingly and is in line with business Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO).
  • Develop BCPs by understanding business objectives and providing support and input into documenting key business strategies and workarounds.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all appropriate business continuity planning activities (including obtaining proper sign-off) and ensure business recovery plans are adhering to Enterprise Resilience policy and compliance obligations.
  • Organize Business Resilience testing for all BCPs and Critical Business Services (CBS), in line with Enterprise Resilience policy.
  • Coordinate business unit requirements for technology and physical facilities to ensure appropriate resources are available and work area recovery strategies are documented to support business needs in the event of a disruption.
  • Partner closely with other teams within the organization to foster a culture of resilience throughout the enterprise.
  • Partner with business, technology, and risk stakeholders to enhance end-to-end resilience capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and evidence to support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and ongoing program governance, including metrics and reporting.

Requirements and skills:
  • 7+ years (for VP level) of work experience in Business Continuity Planning in support of a corporate program (4+ years for AVP) preferably in Financial Services.
  • Commercial or Consumer Banking knowledge a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of Operational Resilience, Crisis & Incident Management, and Disaster Recovery.
  • An understanding of both business and technology resilience concepts.
  • Experience with Archer/GRC, Service Now and Everbridge systems a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate stakeholders and drive deliverables.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and communicate both written and verbally across varying audiences.
  • The ability to advise business units as subject matter expert (SME) for business resilience and ask the appropriate questions to gain full understanding of business requirements and needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced and challenging team environment.

Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Has or working towards a relevant recognized certification in Business Continuity (i.e. ABCP, CBCP) preferred

Hours & Work Schedule:
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4 days in office, one day remote.
Location: Westwood MA, or Johnston RI.
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $135,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
