Overview

Being the next generation Business Relationship Officer at East West Bank means you are part of a world‑class team that focuses on delivering a high quality, high‑touch, and high‑tech relationship banking experience across all customer touchpoints.

As Relationship Officer, you will play a key role in

  • managing and retaining existing customers and cultivating new relationships with customers to expand East West Bank’s customer base to grow assets, loans, and deposits.
  • working with internal business partners to facilitate the connection to customers to help them with specialized financial needs.

We will help you grow your career at East West Bank by providing you with ongoing training to expand your business knowledge, grow your digital acumen, and build long‑lasting relationships with our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve quarterly/annual goals through business generation of C&I, CRE, mortgages, SBA, treasury management, deposits, investments, and international and other commercial and consumer products offered through East West Bank
  • Understand the bank’s credit policy to be able to identify client’s eligibility for loan products. Understand client’s business, industry and identify strategies to create new business opportunities and provide need‑based products to customers.
  • Motivate, coach and provide guidance to employees to achieve sales and service goals
  • Efficiently manages time and is result driven
  • Expert in using digital resources and technologies to optimize clients’ digital banking experience and possess the aptitude to learn new programs
  • Educate customers on how to use digital platforms to bank and invest when, where and how they want
  • May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or business relevant associate degree such as business management, admin or finance preferred
  • 3+ years in commercial lending and or/consultative relationship sales role in a related industry with proven sales track record
  • In‑depth knowledge of banks, credit and deposit products; experience in international activities between U.S. and Greater China preferred
  • Strong sales and service skills including prospecting and networking.
  • Proven success in establishing new clients, deepening customer relationships, and delivering results
  • Strong financial acumen and communication skills
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Able to manage client concerns
  • Has the ability to learn and adapt to latest information and technology platforms
  • Strong desire and capability to influence, educate and connect team, partners, and customers to technology

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $71,000.00/Yr. - USD $77,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
