Position: Business Readiness Project Manager

Location: Pittston, PA

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Manages current business and new customer changes at the site. Ensures full site systems readiness for trials and roll outs. Develops work processes to simplify trial readiness and ensures team executes roll out protocols to the fullest extent. Interacts with existing and new customers and vendors to understand scope of change required and ensures execution. Completes Learn from Experience documents with team to create system improvements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leads site through Change Management list and provides status updates through the life of the change cycle
  • Develops road map of the change cycle to understand any gaps prior to full execution as well as gaps found through execution
  • Tracks and provides status updates of All Change listed for the site
  • Tracks impact of All Change on site with specific metrics (yields, batching times, loss, etc)
  • Leads projects for site where assigned (WMS, MRP, new change management, etc)
  • Leads customer trial visits with logistics for the visitors (seating, tentative agenda, staffing from Lion needed, etc)
  • Creates and develops documented work process for trials and trial materials
  • Works with vendors to procure new materials if needed
  • Adheres to Supplier Approval Program and current site certifications when procuring or approving new materials on site
  • Develops batch sheets and mixing instructions for operations to execute based on customer requirements
  • Trains and serves as Benchtop sample backup owner
  • Serves as site Master Data Coordinator – creates new part numbers, generates new boms, completes bom substitutions for new / upversioned products as well as for development with new customers
  • Provides Downtime requests to Planning team with minimum 3 weeks in advance.
  • Tracks downtime needed for new projects, works on continuous improvement for streamlining trials to minimize downtime
  • Where applicable, generates staffing plan for trials to insure proper coverage for customer / line / trial and provides support on the floor for new projects
  • Rolls out quality system changes for product (infinity specifications, pallet tag creation, HPLC programming, etc)
  • Generate standards to facilitate All Change in a systemic way (One point lessons, Current Best Approach documents)
  • Ensures the All Change process and projects maintain compliance with site certifications (SQF, Kosher, TTB etc)
Weekly Metrics
  • Lead Change Management meeting, provide overview of changes and prioritize urgent changes versus non-urgent
  • Provides updates to leadership on progress with customers projects
  • Provides updates on Gap and Action Plans for specific projects or systems
Monthly Metrics
  • Statuses expirations of trial material and progression of material through Deacom
  • Provides downtime analysis and gap plan for change execution
  • Provides update to leadership team through TPM forum
