Business Developer


Location: The Woodlands, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time


Position Summary

The Business Developer is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and supporting the expansion of the company's presence within key retail and institutional channels. This role works closely with customers and internal teams to drive sales growth, strengthen partnerships, and support the successful execution of commercial initiatives. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with experience in business development, account management, or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales who enjoys building relationships and generating new business opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Support the management and growth of key customer accounts through regular communication and business reviews.
  • Participate in customer meetings, presentations, negotiations, and sales initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and execution of account plans, promotional programs, and commercial activities.
  • Monitor sales performance, customer trends, and market opportunities to identify areas for growth.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, business reports, and performance analyses.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to support customer needs and business objectives.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and pipeline updates.
  • Support new product launches and business development initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, customer development, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), food and beverage, retail, distribution, or related industries preferred.
  • Experience working with retail, grocery, convenience, foodservice, or institutional accounts is a plus.

  • Strong relationship-building, account management, and customer engagement skills.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities and support sales growth initiatives.
