Starr & Associates (S&A) is seeking a Supply Chain Business Consultant with management consulting experience to support client engagements focused on supply chain operations, business analysis, process improvement, analytics, product enablement, and technology transformation initiatives. This role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project delivery teams to ensure business objectives are translated into actionable solutions.
The ideal candidate combines consulting capabilities with business process knowledge, analytical thinking, and technology acumen. Successful candidates possess strong communication skills, stakeholder management capabilities, and experience supporting supply chain and manufacturing organizations.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead interviews, workshops, and working sessions to gather, analyze, and validate business and operational requirements.
  • Develop requirements documentation that supports delivery and stakeholder alignment.
  • Analyze supply chain processes including planning, procurement, sourcing, inventory management, logistics, manufacturing operations, supplier management, and reporting.
  • Conduct current-state assessments to identify inefficiencies, risks, capability gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support Product Managers, Project Managers, and delivery teams throughout solution development initiatives.
  • Perform data mapping, source-to-target mapping, and business-to-technical requirement translation activities.
  • Analyze operational and business data to identify trends, risks, and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in developing dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, reports, and analytical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, workflow optimization, automation, and business transformation.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, engineers, and project teams to support solution delivery.
  • Support user acceptance testing, requirements validation, and deployment readiness activities.
  • Develop presentations, findings, recommendations, business cases, and executive-level deliverables.
  • Support project delivery while adhering to consulting methodologies and quality standards.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or STEM
  • 7+ years of experience in consulting
  • Prior management consulting or professional services experience required.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Experience supporting technology, analytics, reporting, process improvement, or transformation initiatives.
  • Experience supporting supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, inventory management, planning, sourcing, or supplier management initiatives.
Required Skills
  •  Experience delivering client-facing consulting services.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and operational requirements.
