Job Description

David Weekley Homes is seeking a Business Process Analyst. Are you that person who asks a lot of questions and always wants to understand how and why?  This might be the perfect job for you!

This person will work closely with Team Members across the company at all levels to:

  • Research, document, and analyze business processes across the company
  • Use data-driven approach to identify trends and recommend improvements to business processes
  • Work with Team Members across the company to define or modify business processes to address business needs
  • Ensure business systems support the needs of the business and the Team

    The Position-- You will be required to:

    • Communicate with Team Members in all roles across the company to learn business requirements and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Document business processes – process mapping, business rules, training materials, and other documentation as needed; maintain as required
    • Lead Teams through process meetings, document as-is and would-be processes
    • Understand city-specific requirements that require modifications to a company-wide process
    • Determining the appropriate data needed for research and extracting that data from business systems
    • Data analysis – identify patterns and trends, specific areas of concern, leading indicators of upcoming events, and predictive measures
    • Gathering consensus on recommendations – follow up on feedback as needed
    • Prepare and present findings and recommendations from research to Management
    • Work with Application Development Team to ensure that business systems support business processes
    • Work with Trainers across the company to ensure that business processes are being properly communicated to all Team Members
    • Project Management – action plan, communication plan, meeting planning, followup, and other responsibilities as needed
    • Bring together groups of Team Members with common roles to share information, best practices, and work through common obstacles as needed
    • Collaborate with Team Members across the company to determine opportunities for standardization
    • Facilitate discussions virtually with Team Members from across the company.
    • Travel!  This job can involve 30-50% travel depending on current projects.

    • Willing to explore and learn parts of the business you may not already know
    • Is a great listener – both to direct and indirect feedback from the Team
    • Is an excellent communicator – verbal and written skills, in person and virtually
    • Is able to remove emotion from the situation to hone in on the critical issues
    • Is highly organized and able to juggle multiple, sometimes competing priorities
    • Has a secret inner nerd who loves to look at data and make business recommendations
    • Looks for creative solutions to complex challenges
    • Is a natural leader – able to lead groups of all sizes and levels of authority through candid discussions to define and modify business processes
    • Willing to learn through experiences and involvement in business processes

    The Technical-- You need to have or know:

    • Previous experience in business process analysis or process improvement (Lean Six Sigma or similar) is preferred
    • Project management skills – ability to define the steps required to take a project from start to finish and to see these tasks through to completion; ability to manage multiple projects at one time
    • Willingness to adopt new technology and build technical skills to support development of business solutions
