We are looking for a Senior Consultant, Business Process to join our Lean Six Sigma team. The candidate will be responsible for driving process improvement initiatives that deliver significant financial, operational, and customer and employee satisfaction impacts. In addition, you will support the development of tools and processes to effectively link enterprise Six Sigma services with our business strategy.

As the selected candidate, you will manage relationships with a segment of our business, own customer relations, assess portfolios, and oversee the project funnel. You will align initiatives across different service teams and establish an iterative intake and governance process to optimize resource utilization and enterprise portfolio value.

This role is critical to our high-performing team dedicated to driving process improvements. As the Senior Business Process Consultant, you will report directly to the Director of Business Process and be an integral part of McKesson's ever-evolving business.

Project Identification

  • Identify projects with expense reduction or other strategic benefits

  • Advise functional groups by providing strategic direction to initiative prioritization, integration and resource application

  • Work with Director and Executive Sponsor to ensure that Six Sigma support is strategically aligned with business or functional area objectives

Project Execution

  • Lead projects from inception to benefit realization and control with a focus on complex cross-functional projects

  • Lead cross-functional teams, including members of the business, functional teams, and external vendors

  • Deliver results that achieve or surpass projects targets based on ROI, customer satisfaction, or employee satisfaction improvement objectives

  • Meet project timelines to manage the realization of project benefits and maintain the downstream effect on the project funnel

  • Monitor and communicate the results of process improvement projects/ initiatives to management and the Executive Leadership Team

Change Leadership

  • Develop. lead and maintain productive stakeholders and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings

  • Drive adoption of tools and methods by reinforcing the value proposition

Mentoring/Ambassadorship

  • Act as an ambassador and change agent of the Six Sigma community to build a culture of continuous improvement

  • Mentor & coach Green Belts and team members in project work

Minimum Requirements
  • Degree, or equivalent, typically requires 7+ years of relevant project management experience

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt Required, Black Belt highly preferred)

Desired Experience

  • Proven track record of results from the application of process improvement methodologies and effective change leadership

  • Financial (Profit & Loss and Balance sheet) understanding and business acumen

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to understand and identify the connections between specific projects and the key strategic objectives

  • Analytic mindset including interpretation, analysis, and evaluation of report and data

  • Ability to think through, organize and lead multiple projects and tasks concurrently

  • Ability to facilitate and communicate effectively in a hybrid environment

Additional Skills

  • Experience leading or managing small matrixed teams and experience leading projects across functional boundaries

  • Resourceful with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset

  • Basic knowledge of SQL and Power Automate is a plus (or other relational database management & automation platforms)

  • Project Management Institute (PMP) certification is a plus
