ABOUT THE JOB
In this role you will have the opportunity to work with Engineering Services Team and assisting Engineers and Maintenance by leading, and supporting OEE improvement projects focused on safety, availability, performance, and quality. Help implement capital improvement projects and actively participate in the development of Lean and Six Sigma processes.
YOUR ROLE:
The bullet points below reflect roughly 80% of your job. We are a fast-paced company, you may be pulled in a variety of different directions with tasks added or changed.
  • Coordinate and support process/product trials. Collect data and run basic analysis to help evaluate largest improvement potential that will impact safety, availability, performance, and quality.
  • Participate in cross-functional team-based improvement projects and lead sub-tasks within larger projects.
  • Support the process improvement cycle: stabilize, optimize, and innovate.
  • Improve SOP's and Workflow pertaining to quality, safety and throughput.
  • Stabilize and standardize current processes to ensure that they are capable and repeatable. Where applicable implement SPC (statistical process control) procedures to maintain capabilities.
  • Support plant-wide Tru-Improvement initiatives.
  • Work with quality and production to identify gaps between current process and standardized work and develop corrective actions to resolve.
  • Help identify and resolve process and quality problems for assigned processes.
  • Apply best process specific practices across multiple production lines and operations.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Graduate/HSE, Associate Engineering Degree, or desire to achieve degree.
  • 3 or more years of practical manufacturing experience and involvement in process improvement efforts.
  • Conceptual knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and understanding/use of SPC (statistical process control).
  • Excellent time and project management and the ability to stick to timelines.
  • Microsoft applications experience preferred: MS Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team environment.
  • Strong ability to drive change and continuously improve.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $62,420 USD - $70,928 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
