Job description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the standards, methods, tools, training, and business process governance practices that support Business Architecture and Process Management across the Enterprise Foundations (ERP) footprint of business processes.

The position works closely with Business Process Managers (Enterprise Process Owners), business leaders, key business process governance bodies, and Business & Process Architects to maintain the Business Process Anchored Framework, Business Process Architecture, process maturity practices, process performance and health measurement approaches, and enablement resources used to manage business processes across the organization. The role serves as the custodian of the Business Architecture and Process Management framework and supporting assets that enable consistent adoption and execution of business architecture and process management practices. The role may also provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and work direction for a small team of Business Architecture & Process resources.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Business Process Management, business architecture, business process governance, operational excellence, enterprise architecture, organizational transformation, or related areas required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience developing or maintaining standards, frameworks, methodologies, procedures, training materials, or enterprise practices. required.
  • Experience developing or maintaining business process architectures, process repositories, taxonomies, or related business knowledge assets.
  • Experience supporting process performance measurement, process health metrics, process maturity assessments, or management frameworks.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional discussions involving business leaders, process leaders, technology teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated track record of producing accurate, complete, and high-quality work products in environments where attention to detail is critical.
  • Leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.

Preferred

  • Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP), TOGAF, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, or similar certification.
  • Experience with Business Process Management and process modeling tools.
  • Experience administering process repositories, standards libraries, or business knowledge assets.
  • Experience developing Business Architecture and Process management training programs, templates, playbooks, job aids, or other reusable resources.
  • Experience conducting process assurance reviews, quality reviews, maturity assessments, or standards adoption reviews.

Additional Information

  • Position is based in an office environment and currently follows a hybrid work schedule of four (4) days onsite and one (1) remote workday per week. Schedule expectations may change based on business needs

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Enterprise Foundations (ERP) footprint Business Architecture and related business architecture assets.
  • Maintain the business process management framework, including process roles, responsibilities, decision-making practices, review structures, and supporting procedures.
  • Establish and maintain standards, methods, templates, guidance materials, and reusable resources that support consistent Business Architecture and Process Management practices.
  • Maintain standards and guidance supporting business process architecture, process strategic objectives, stakeholder analysis, process performance measurement, process health management, process prioritization, process impact assessment, and process improvement practices.
  • Maintain process maturity assessment methods, target maturity expectations, maturity criteria, supporting rationale, review cycles, and related guidance used to evaluate and improve process management capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain approaches used to define, monitor, and assess business process performance, process management effectiveness, and overall process health.
  • Maintain process prioritization and improvement methodologies used to identify, evaluate, and prioritize process improvement and innovation opportunities.
  • Develop and administer process assurance activities that evaluate adherence to established standards and identify opportunities to strengthen process management practices.
  • Administer Business Architecture and Process Management tools, repositories, standards libraries, and related technologies used for documentation, analysis, reporting, and collaboration. Maintain the strategy and maturity roadmap for all enabling tools/resources.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver onboarding, coaching, education materials, workshops, and other learning resources to support adoption of Business Process and Architecture practices and strengthen related capabilities across the organization.
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders within the ERP ecosystem to socialize and drive awareness of the best practices and standards for business architecture and process.
  • Partner with Business Process Managers (Enterprise Process Owners), business leaders, governance bodies, and Business & Process Architects to support adoption of approved standards, methods, tools, and practices.
  • Support healthy and effective Business Process Anchored Network (BPAN) dynamics by providing guidance on participant roles, engagement expectations, discussion practices, decision-making approaches, and continuous improvement of forum effectiveness.
  • Develop and communicate reporting related to process maturity, process performance, process health, standards adoption, training effectiveness, and process assurance activities.
  • Monitor feedback, lessons learned, and industry practices and recommend improvements to frameworks, standards, methods, tools, and enablement resources.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, work direction, and performance support for assigned Business Architecture & Process resources, as applicable.
