Job description

Candidate must reside in Boston, New York, or Chicago.

Job Purpose:

Shields Health Solutions is looking to add a Business Development Associate to supplement its growing business development team. This will be a very hands-on and analytical role, touching every aspect of the business development process with high visibility to the Shields Executive Leadership Team and C-level executives at our hospital partners. We are looking for a self-starter and highly motivated individual to own work products from start to finish and make an immediate impact on the team.

Job Duties:

  • Lead and own the creation of detailed analyses, financial models, and pitch materials for new health system partners and new business opportunities
  • Work closely with sales and clinical leaders to develop a partnership strategy based on health system needs and financial data
  • Serve as part of the client-facing deal team, presenting financial and strategic analyses to health system leadership
  • Support the execution of new business and strategic initiatives for senior leadership
  • Perform comprehensive and in-depth competitor, new business, and industry research
  • Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the leadership team to facilitate efficient decision making
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support new partnerships and provide client-oriented solutions

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 2-3 years of experience working in an analytically intensive field (investment banking, management consulting, corporate development) or business development operations experience at another high growth company
  • Entrepreneurial attitude - willingness to roll up their sleeves and work alongside staff to make things happen quickly
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently with limited oversight from managers
  • Highly motivated and results-driven professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment
  • Analytically oriented person who makes and defends decisions based on hard data
  • Experience and interest in presenting to C-level executives
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including financial modeling and data visualization
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Healthcare experience or passion for the industry is a plus
  • Professionals will likely travel 25% of their time, meeting with partners

Job Salary:

Range between $100,000 to $120,000.
