Job description

Citi is looking for an experienced Program Management Lead to play a pivotal role within the Wholesale Lending Operations (WLO) Product Management team, driving governance excellence and coordinating complex lending platform programs that directly shape operational strategy. In this role, you will serve as the connective tissue between technology, risk, finance, and operations — ensuring that high-stakes initiatives are structured, tracked, and delivered with excellence. If you bring strong program management expertise and a natural ability to bring clarity and accountability to complex, multi-stakeholder environments, this is an opportunity to make a tangible impact at one of the world's leading financial institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end administration of the Wholesale Lending Operations technology steering committee, managing agenda development, stakeholder communications, minute-taking, decision documentation, and action item tracking to support lending operations initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of critical program action items, ensuring stakeholder accountability and consistent adherence to governance standards across the program lifecycle.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of key lending operations programs, aligning day-to-day activities with broader business objectives and translating strategic priorities into actionable delivery plans.
  • Assess and formalize essential program documentation in collaboration with technology and operations teams, ensuring clarity and consensus across stakeholder groups for strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee program plan execution, managing scope, schedules, and milestones in partnership with technology delivery teams to support the modernization of lending platforms.
  • Partner with Program Sponsors to refine business case analyses, optimize resource allocation, and proactively identify, elevate, and manage program risks before they impact delivery.
  • Uphold governance standards and guide business decisions with sound judgment, ensuring control issues are reported transparently to protect operational integrity.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 6 to 10 years of experience in program or project management, with demonstrable exposure to managing governance forums, steering committees, or structured high-level meeting frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage meeting logistics end-to-end, including agenda setting, minute-taking, action item tracking, and stakeholder communication for senior forums.
  • Experience working within an operations or technology environment, with a clear understanding of how operations teams collaborate with technology partners in a change delivery context.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without loss of quality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of engaging effectively with senior stakeholders across functions.
  • Proficiency in productivity and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling or documentation platforms, to support reporting and program coordination.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working within a wholesale lending environment, with familiarity of lending operations processes and platforms.
  • Adaptability and willingness to develop new skills across adjacent program disciplines as the role and team evolve.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
