Operations Manager

Position Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day performance of a designated operational department. This role focuses on optimizing workflows, developing team members, improving departmental performance, and ensuring operational goals are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate is an organized, data-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building efficient, scalable processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of an assigned department to ensure efficiency, quality, and accountability.
  • Monitor departmental key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain departmental processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth project flow and effective communication.
  • Support workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocation within the department.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable industry regulations.
  • Prepare performance reports and provide updates to senior leadership.
  • Support departmental budgeting and operational planning initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture that reflects the company's values.
Qualifications

35+ years of leadership or operations management experience, preferably within the solar or renewable energy industry. Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Experience using operational metrics and data to drive decision-making. Strong analytical and process improvement mindset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational software platforms. Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Solar industry experience is preferred.
