Essential Functions
Pay Range: $116,450 - 145,550 per year
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Operation Manager will be responsible for managing the production operations for the plant on the shift. The role will encompass meeting annual production targets and metrics within specified quality, environmental and budgetary standards. Responsible for ensuring equipment is functioning correctly and health and safety protocols are followed. The incumbent will assist the Plant Manager with providing direction to TEAM Members in production, distribution, warehousing, sanitation and maintenance. The position will include frequent contact with Live Production, Quality Control, Technical Services, Human Resources, Accounting, Commodities, Legal, and USDA.
  • Manage the manufacturing process within the defined safety and quality standards.
  • Manage and monitor the activities of Production Supervisors to ensure efficient operation of the plant.
  • Adherence to the production plan and schedule.
  • Assist the Plant Manager in preparation of annual budget proposals, providing assessment and estimates of product, materials and staffing requirements for the production forecast.
  • Implement and foster a continuous improvement environment.
  • Adherence to site and business protocols.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in Business Administration or related field.
  • 7 to 10 years of progressive responsibility in management within the food processing industry, preferably the poultry business.
  • Demonstrated financial understanding to include budgeting, staffing, and cost analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and drive.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to work in both individual and teamwork settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, financial software, etc.
