Job description

Position Operations Manager Location Laredo, TX - US Job Purpose PHINIA is currently looking for a "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as an Operations Manager in our Laredo distribution center location.

Key Responsibilities

Continually enforce and improve policies and procedures throughout the facility. Ensure smooth and accurate operation of the facility to eliminate/reduce discrepancies by recognizing weak areas and introducing solutions to strengthen those areas. Provide hands on leadership to site supervisors in developing and implementing programs such as: Safety, CPI, 5S, Lean, and other programs to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery and Continuous improvement of the operation.

Maintain a reporting system on the performance of all functional areas to be available to customers. Develop in coordination with the customer, a detailed site business plan, and ensure that all items in it get measured and accomplished every week. Provide hands‐on support to those areas out of compliance to establish a quick and reliable resolution. Participate in Business reviews as established in coordination with the customer. Proven leadership and people development capability.

Trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes. Outstanding organizational skills. Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; proficiency in SAP.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's/master's degree. At least 10 years of Distribution Center experience (automotive LD/Heavy Duty). Corrective action experience. 5S lean experience. Special and transition project execution experience. Forecasting experience. Safety oriented. 100% Bilingual. SAP experience. C-TPAT experience.
